Qué mejor manera para celebrar el día internacional de la música que disfrutar del espectáculo O gato con botas, que se representó esta mañana en el Teatro Colón de A Coruña.

El cuento clásico cobra vida en esta ocasión en forma de teatro musical gallego, con música del prolífico creador Rogelio Groba e interpretada en directo por la Orquestra de Cámara Galega, dirigida por su hijo, Rogelio Groba Otero. La dirección escénica corre a cargo de Javier Fernández Mariño.

OCGa presents his summer schedule of activities

Concerts in the beautiful landscapes of the Ribeira Sacra, the continuation of his cycle in "The Atarcederes do Gaias" in Cidade da Cultura Santiago de Compostela or the second edition of the Festival Groba make up the varied cast of concerts and activities.

The Orquestra de Cámara Galega will start this Friday 27th June his schedule of activities with a concert at the beautiful Parador de Santo Etevo in partnership with the Tourist Board of the Ribeira Sacra.

They will perform works by Vivaldi, Britten Groba and a varied and suggestive very own program for the summer and that adds value to the music through the beautiful countryside and wine culture of the Ribeira Sacra.

Also, for the third consecutive year, returns to perform their own concert series under the "Atardeceres no Gaiás" in Cidade da Cultura  in Santiago de Compostela.

A cicle of three concerts, starting on the July 4th   with a "Atardecer Italiano" where they have the collaboration of guitarist Ramón Carnota.

On July 18th  and under the suggestive title "Os sons esquecidos" OCGa and the galician trumpet and multidisciplinary artist Abraham Cupeiro propose a tour times and sounds of a bygone era.

And finally, on August 14th  will be the turn of "Un Atardecer Barroco”, where the OCGa and the oboist Avelino Ferreira will perfom pieces from the rich baroque repertoire.

To complete this diverse compendium of concerts and re eregirse again a major boost for the musical and cultural activity in Galicia, OCGa, in conjunction with the Groba Foundation and the invaluable financial support from the Secretaria Xeral de Cultura da Conselleria de Educación e Cultura de Xunta de Galicia and the City Council of Ponteareas, held the second edition of Festival Groba from 23rd  to 30th  August in Ponteareas. Daily concerts, master classes and free workshops for young musicians, and numerous premieres of works by composer Rogelio Groba, again become the axes of one of the most innovative festivals in recent years.
